New Aussie website for finding fillies

Horse owners may soon be spending more time at home instead of hauling trailers for thousands of kilometers around the countryside, thanks to a new website aimed at matching buyers with sellers at the click of a button.

FindMeAHorse.com.au, is Australia’s newest searchable directory of horse sales and industry information, from the founder of leading local pet website, Find Me A Pet.

“Now you can be anywhere – from the middle of a paddock to a bus in the city – and search for a really specific horse online,” explains developer Elyse Church.

“Australians can now look for horses according to very narrow search terms and locations, which has always been hard to do in the flesh,” she says.

FindMeAHorse.com.au also has functionality for sellers and breeders, which comes from years of industry research and interviews with stud owners across the nation.

“Buyers and sellers can refer to Pedigree charts, see YouTube links, connect via social media and search via a huge range of options all around Australia, and all at the touch of a button,” Church says.

The desperate need for a specific horse-trading directory in Australia became clear through the success of findmeapet.com.au, now in its third year.

“We have found that people are increasingly turning to online research tools to find the right pet or livestock animal, where objective information, listings and expert tips combine in a user-friendly and immediate format,” Church explains.

“Riders, farmers, or breeders are now able to find a huge range of horses for sale, equestrian products, breeder information, stud locations, and other details all in the one place.

“I know from my own experience that searching through pages and pages of print classifieds to find what I’m looking for is very time consuming… and not always successful,” Church explains.
